Howdy BSOB members, we have a rare treat for the club. On October 17, at 7PM, Kaya Mooney will do a special program for BSOB. This Tuesday evening meeting is in addition to our regular Saturday meeting.
Kaya is an apprentice at Fujikawa kouka-en in Osaka, Japan. Kaya hails from Stuart, Florida so for BSOB members he has the understanding of our species and can apply excellent Japanese styling techniques.
Kaya will do a demo and then we will raffle off the tree. He will also tell us about his experience in Japan as an apprentice. Kaya also has some old Japanese bonsai pots for sale – including one we will raffle off for the club.

The session will be October 17, at 7PM at St Timothy Lutheran Church at 1903 Croton Rd, Melbourne, FL 32935.
While Kaya is on vacation he agreed to do this BSOB session for us. We are indeed lucky to have him visit so be sure to attend this rare and special event.
